Principal's Message

I am honored to continue as the principal of Glenfeliz Early Education Center. I started at this center in August of 2023, and since then, I have enjoyed being part of this amazing community! Every day we strive to meet the needs of the precious children in our care and work together to support their social, emotional, physical, language, and academic needs. 

As a parent of two children who also attend schools in Los Angeles Unified, I know the importance of families and school staff working together to benefit all children. I have had the opportunity to work in Los Angeles for over 27 years at various levels and communities across our city. 

At the Elementary level, I have been a school volunteer, classroom teacher in grades K-3, intervention teacher, and instructional coach working with multilingual children, children with special needs, and gifted. At the district level, I was a Literacy Expert providing training to teachers, assistants, and administrators in literacy development and curriculum. Recently, I was a coordinator for the Kindergarten Readiness Program where I worked closely with the administrators and teachers of the Early Education Centers, TK, and Kindergarten. I now have the privilege of putting my experience of teaching and training into practice at our lovely little community of Glenfeliz Early Education Center!

I am looking forward to another wonderful year getting to know the children and families of our center. Together we will build the academic, physical, and social-emotional skills of all children during these precious preschool years.  I welcome all families to join the staff and me as we collaborate in providing a special place where children are loved and encouraged to thrive as they discover the joy of the world around them.
